With a mere 25 days to go before the official launch of the Toronto Maple Leafs 2010-2011 (pre) season, expectations are higher among Leafs fans than they have been in several years.

The Brian Burke era is in full swing. With the two block-buster trades last season, the addition of even more young prospects such as Marcel Mueller and Jery D'Amigo to go along with the addition of Kris Versteeg and Colby Armstrong, Leafs Nation should be buzzing with anticipation.

Burke has officially put the league on notice, the Toronto Maple Leafs are back!

When he first came to town there were mixed emotions about him, but the truth of the matter is, whether you or I like him or not is irrellevent, he's a winner. That winning attitude is beginning to transend to the team he is building.

There are still 'nay sayers' and forcasters of impending doom everywhere in the media that just to sell a couple more papers or generate a few more reads on an otherwise dull news day in Leafs Nation will have you believe that the Leafs aren't good enough, just yet.

Don't believe the hype!

The Toronto Maple Leafs are indeed back, the blue and white Maple Leaf that was once worn proudly by fans the world over will bw worn once again with pride and not paper bag hats!

Dion Phanuef, Phil Kessel, Nazem Kadri, Jonas Gustavsson and a host of others will begin the next chapter in the evolution of a champion on September 21st when they play the first of two in a row against provincial rivals the Ottawa Senators.

Only 25 days to go Die Hards, until then just BELEAF!
